John Claude Quinn died June 15, 2022, at 83; peacefully of natural causes. John was born in Fairplay Colorado where his father was a gold miner in the south London mine on February 9, 1939. After the war started, the small family moved to Ft Carson, Colorado, then in 1943, mom, dad and baby John moved up to Denver. John attended Denver West High School where he excelled not only in academics but also in sports. After high school, John attended Trinidad State Junior College in Southern Colorado where he was an all-conference wide receiver on their junior college national championship football team. John then transferred to Colorado State University where he played more football while earning a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduating college from Colorado State, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked at Bendix, Allied Signal, Honeywell, and GBA. He lived a good part of his life in Overland Park, KS. He is survived by his brother Larry; his son Rick; his daughter Angie; 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
