John N. Van Es, 101, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011. Private family services were held, with entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Indoor Mausoleum. Contributions may be given to Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Parkway, Ste. 300, Kansas City, MO 64114. John was born December 24, 1909, in Rotterdam, Holland. He served in the Dutch Army and was a Nazi prisoner of war. He and his wife Betty came to America in 1950. Betty preceded John in death in 2006. Survivors include his sons, Jack Van Es, Piet Van Es, and John Van Es, Jr.; daughter, Patty J. Wolfe; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. (Arr.: D.W.
