Johnnie Kay Miller (Harmon), 77, of Prairie Village, KS, passed away after a brief illness on September 25, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Johnnie Kay was born April 27, 1940 in Corpus Christi, TX to John and Esta Harmon. Johnnie Kay met and married the love of her life Sidney A. Miller 58 years ago starting their married life in Corpus Christi and starting their family with two daughters before they began a career that took them across 10 states collecting many friends along the way. Johnnie Kay was a master at nurturing her family and her friendships despite their many moves. In 2006, they were excited to return to Kansas City area, to their children, grandchildren and friends. Johnnie Kay was a devout Christian, a devoted daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, mother, aunt and friend. There were to many highlights in her life to list but a couple worth mentioning are her California move that drew many guests to her home and her participation in Mardi Gras in Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Esta Harmon, her loving husband Sidney A. Miller, son-in-law, Mark Lewis and Nephew, John Meyer. Johnnie Kay is survived by her daughters, Deborah Kay Lewis, Stephanie Ann Krause, son-in-law Mike Krause and grandchildren Sydney Ann Krause, Chloe Elizabeth and Joseph Michael Krause, her sister Barbara Meyer, nieces and nephews, plus a multitude of devoted friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Johnson County
Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS, with burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
