Mr. Jon Christlieb

Jon C. (CAL) Christlieb passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009. He was born May 17, 1935 in Kearney, NE and thereafter became a resident of Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Wenda Smith-Christlieb; son and two daughters, Jon S. Christlieb, Tammara Quinn and Tracy Lickteig; and four grand children. He attended Washburn University of Topeka for both his undergraduate and his law degrees at Washburn University School of Law. He also served as an officer member of the United States Air Force and terminated his Reserve Service with distinction in 1963. He then returned to Johnson County and commenced his practice of law initially in Kansas City, KS and then moved his offices to Leawood and Overland Park respectively. Cal has directed that no funeral or memorial service be conducted on his death and that his family members meet instead privately at a restaurant for a dinner to celebrate Dad and as his grandchildren refer to him “POPS”. Cal has donated his body to science with ultimate cremation and placement of his ashes as a military member at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
