Mr. Jonathan Evans

Jonathan S. Evans, age 23, of Leawood, KS passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Jonathan was a graduate of Blue Valley High School and graduated from KU in May 2010 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography. Jonathan enjoyed attending athletic events and was, of course, a fan of the KU Jayhawks. He served as the assistant coach for the KU Lacrosse Club. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains. He enjoyed snow skiing, fishing and other activities with his friends and family. Jonathan was a member of First Baptist Church of Raytown in Raytown, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen M. Evans, in 2004. Survivors include his mother, Theresa Evans; sister, Andrea Evans, both of Leawood, KS; and his grandmother, Barbara Crane, of Springfield, MO; as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be Monday, July 19th at 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Raytown, 10500 E. 350 Hwy, Raytown, MO., 64138. Visitation will be Sunday, July 18th from 6-8 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the youth ministry at FBC Raytown or the American Cancer Society.
