Josef Heinrich Wittmers, 83, passed away Monday, November 12, 2007.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 16th at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th Street, Leawood, Kansas. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Thursday at D. W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas.
Josef was preceded in death by his wife Elfriede, in 2005. He was the last surviving member of his family. Survivors include his daughter, Marilyn Smallwood and her husband Mark; their children Lindsey Tharp and Erica Hammack; son, Frank Wittmers and his wife Jennifer; their children Andrew and Anastasia. Josef will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many friends and family.
