Our beloved Joyce Ford passed on Tuesday the 24th of May, 2022. Joyce’s passion for her family was unmatched. She leaves her husband Marc, daughter Tracy Beltram her husband Kent Beltram and grandchildren Addison Leonard, Jack Leonard, and Spencer Beltram. Family was most important to Joyce. She loved being ‘Grammy’ and was so proud of and amazed by her grandchildren. She was the biggest fan of her daughter Tracy and was so very proud of the person, woman and mother she has become.
She is preceded by her parents John and Wynona Kopmeyer. Throughout her life she enjoyed close relationships with her siblings David Kopmeyer, Johnny Kopmeyer and Brenda Kopmeyer-Kasper. From her siblings and the Fords Joyce had 14 nieces and nephews as well as 18 grand nieces and nephews who she loved deeply and brought her great joy. Joyce was always full of laughter and love for her family.
Joyce graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1960. While at North she was a member of the first drill team assembled at the school. She moved on the attend Pittsburg State University where she received an Associates of Arts Degree. For over thirty years Joyce worked for two non-profit organizations, Clinicare and The National Catholic Reporter.
Joyce was adored in life and will be terribly missed by those she left behind.
