Judith Johnson

Judith M. Johnson joined the multitude of Heaven's angels on Sunday,July 22, 2007.

Judy entered this life on December 20, 1920, the second child of Martha and Joseph Nordskog. She was born near Story City, Iowa, at her family farm homestead. Judy's husband Don, passed away in May, 1996. Judy permanently touched everyone she met with her passion of love for the Lord, her family, and the many friends that she dearly cherished throughout her life's journey.

She is survived by three children, Don Jr. of Houston, Texas, Reed of San Diego, California, and Nancy of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley Wilson, and Ann Donhowe. Judy also leaves ten adored grandchildren, Kierstin, Reed, Brooke, Brennan, Paige, Ryan, John, Steve, Katie, and Donnie. She was also gifted with eight great-grandchildren- Ashton, Payton, Maddox, Merritt, Blair, Zach, Brooke, and Matthew. In addition, she leaves two son-in laws, Joe, and John, and a daughter-in-law, Jane. In addition to family, Judy was also blessed with many loving friends, including Charlotte, Tom and Lou, who have always been close to her heart and mind.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, on Wednesday, July 25 at 1:00 P.M. followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00 P.M. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Afterwards, a reception will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, hosted by her church Circle of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society for Leukemia research in honor of Judy's predeceased daughter, Julie Bartels.
