JUDITH G. WALTER
Judith "Judy" Walter, age 65, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009. A celebration of her life will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, preceded by a gathering of family and friends 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Thursday, at the chapel. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Judy was the daughter of Haskell and Alice Cochran of Shawnee. She was born on November 26, 1944. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from SM North High School. She held many jobs for the government including; secretary for the Milk Market Administration, secretary to the Postmaster and Real Estate Department as well as a letter sorter at the Post Office. Once retired from the Government she went back to work at LabOne and then on to many other temporary positions. Survivors include husband: Stephen J. Walter, children: Chris and Lorie Brunner and Rob Brunner and Cindy Calfas, 3 grandchildren: Dalton, Dane and Dylan Brunner, all of Shawnee, KS. Siblings: Barbara and Milton Choate of Shawnee, Neil and Sue Cochran and Caroline and Rick Jolly, all in California. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Judy's memory be made to City Union Mission, 1100 East 11th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106, or to American Heart Association, 6800 West 93rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
