Mrs. Judy Conus

Julida V. Conus, 92, of Louisburg, KS, died August 17, 2015 at Louisburg Care Center. Visitation will be from 1-2:00pm Thursday August 20th, followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park.
Julida Conus was born February 27, 1923, in Russellville, Arkansas. She had lived in Kansas City, Overland Park and Louisburg, Kansas during her life. Her childhood with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters was filled with hardships. However, out of that hardship she accomplished many amazing things. After getting married she and her husband, Glenn Conus, started Farmer in the Dell Nursery School. For 30 years they ran the school together caring for many children and finally retiring in 1982.
Judy and Glenn were married for 55 years. They loved life, family and their faith. As an expression of their faith they were founding members of Prairie Baptist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. Starting the church was one of these best moments of her life where she created many cherished memories with her family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Conus in 1995, and her brothers and sisters: Cody, Bill, Mickey, and Shirley. Judy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald & Deborah Conus of Edgerton, KS; granddaughters and spouses: Jennifer & Chris Nickols, and Emmalee & Kris Schaumburg; and a grandson, Jordan Conus; great-grandchildren: Michael, Andrew, Samuel, Kristian and Lily.
Memorial contributions in memory of Judy may be given to Prairie Baptist Church where Glenn and Judy were founding members and created cherished memories.
