Justine Margaret "Tina" (Warford) Whiteaker passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, Texas, after a brief illness.
She was born January 13, 1918, in Hurdland, Mo., to Wyble Parker and Anna Naomi (Burch) Warford. Tina graduated from Hurdland High School in 1936 and married her sweetheart, Stanley Cyril Whiteaker, on Christmas Day in 1938. They were happily married for almost 63 years until his death in November 2001. Tina moved to Houston, Texas after Stanley's passing. She lived with her daughter Linda Jo and her husband Ivan Butterfield. Tina dedicated her entire life to her family and making their homes happy and comfortable. Her family and many friends will miss her winning smile and unassuming manner.
In addition to her parents and her husband, her sister, Grace Delilah Warford and her brothers Glennon Parker and Wyble Junior Warford preceded Tina in death. Her only child, Linda Jo and son-in-law Ivan Butterfield of Fresno, Texas, survive her. Also surviving are grandson Todd Jensen, his wife Robin, and Tina's precious great grandchildren, Wyatt and Annika, all of Westfield, Mass. Another grandson, Jeffrey Joe Jensen of Brooklyn, N.Y., and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and funeral services will be Tuesday, May 19, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mt Moriah Cemetery.
