Karen Sue Oglesby passed away February 22, 2021 at her home in Stilwell Kansas surrounded by her husband and children. Karen was born in Kansas City, MO to Everett and Myrtle Robb. She grew up in North Kansas City Missouri and spent most her life in the Kansas City area. In 1993 during a short stay in Wichita, Karen met her husband, Charles (Chuck) Oglesby and began a romance that endured for 28 long years. With a never-ending passion for growth, Karen completed her college degree at age 40 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Karen spent 30 years in the commercial real estate industry earning professional designations from the Institute of Real Estate Management of Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) eventually starting her own company, CK Real Estate Services. During that same period Karen worked in the Mary Kay cosmetics industry earning the director designation and achieving car status. Karen will be most remembered for her love of family and her animals. She was a fierce defender of all her children and volunteered at KC Pet Project. Her faith was forever her strength and she always provided the fuel for others to succeed. Karen is survived by her husband, Chuck; sister, Tammy Carnes; Children: Cory DeLong, Keegan Prouty and husband Paul, Travis Oglesby and wife Lindsay; Two Grandchildren: Kaela Prouty and Morgan Oglesby, ages 13 yrs and 9 months respectively.
