Katharine W. Tannahill, age 96, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 at John Knox Care Center.
A gathering of family and friends will be 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 18 at D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, entombment in Old Rugged Cross Mausoleum, immediately following the visitation with Reverend Dr. Harold Dodds officiating.

Katharine was born September 27, 1912 in Yates Center, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, Bert and Maude Wilkins; and sisters, Wilma Gillespie and Frances Braddock. Survivors include Leland Tannahill, brother-in-law; Leona Tannahill, sister-in-law; and nephews, Donald Gillespie, Larry Tannahill, Don Tannahill, and Dale Tannahill.
