Katherine Muriel Simek (Oslund), age 93, of Olathe, KS passed away at Kansas City Hospice House on March 17, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, April 16, 2014 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City West, AZ. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
Katherine was born on August 9, 1920 in St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Anthony Simek, parents, Alfred Olaf and Anna Cristina Oslund and 5 siblings. Survivors include son Thomas A. Simek (Evelyn) of Arizona, daughter Annette Fibuch (Eugene, M.D.) of Leawood, KS, grandchildren; Anthony Simek (Elizabeth) of Arizona, Bradley Simek of Arizona, Heather Townsend (Justin) Overland Park, KS, Jennifer Robertson M.D. (John PhD) of Cleveland, Ohio and 4 great grandchildren.
