Mrs. Kathryn Pickard

Kathryn B. Pickard, 90, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Nursing Home Center in Marquette, KS from Alzheimer?s Disease.
Mrs. Pickard was born August 15, 1917 in Bala, KS. She married LeRoy E. Pickard in Herrington, KS on August 12, 1939. She lived in Belleville, KS while her husband was in the armed forces during WWII. Kathryn moved to Concordia, KS in 1946 and to Overland Park, KS in 1968, where she stayed until a brief stay in the nursing home from July 2006 until her death.
Mrs. Pickard was preceded in death by her mother, father and 5 sisters. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; 3 sons, LeRoy E. Pickard III and wife Trish, of Hutchinson, KS, Stephen R. Pickard and wife Marie, of Alexandria, VA, R. Price Pickard of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; brother, Walter R. Bohnenblust of Orwigsburg, PA; sister, Dorothy Ralston of Overland Park, KS; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers.
