Kait Kaaz age 71, resident of Overland Park, KS, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Bethany Lutheran Church 9101 Lamar Ave, Overland Park, KS 66207. Burial at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to time of service at the church. The family suggest memorial contributions to Heifer International or Bethany Lutheran School.
Kati was born July 1, 1937 in Flandreau, South Dakota to Virgil and Marie (Rhiem) Winge. She married Dick Kaaz August 27, 1961. Kati was an active member of the Deborah Circle at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother devoted to her family.
Kati is survived by her husband, Dick; daughter Whitney Kaaz and husband Gene Humphrey and their two children Qwynn and Calder Humphrey; brother, Robert Winge; sister, Ginger Phillips and husband Phil and numerous nieces and nephews.
