KAY FIEGER
Kay Fieger, 74, of Overland Park, peacefully entered into the arms of the Lord February 8, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Kay was born April 19, 1936 to Roscoe and O’Reta Keeler in Kansas City, MO and grew up in Topeka, KS. She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick); they celebrated 55 years of marriage on December 31, 2010. Kay was very active in Christian Women’s Club and Bible Study Fellowship. She spent several years living in her dream town of Coronado, CA spending her time enjoying the beach, the Hotel Del Coronado, and dining out with Dick. Kay was an amazing cook and hostess; she loved to entertain and had a gift for making every guest feel special. She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is also survived by her brother Steve; her four children Michele, Lisa, Rich, and Stephanie Jo; and eight grandchildren Barrett, Lauren, Heather, Zach, Bailey, Garrick, Gabriel, and Grace. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, February 11th at 3:00 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel at 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210. A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64145.
