K.C. EVANS
A life was ended too early when we lost K.C. Evans, 22 of Lee's Summit, MO early on the morning of May 26th 2007. K.C. was born on June 28th 1984 in Battlefield, MO and grew up throughout the Missouri area.
K.C. was raised by his mother Kandi, who gave her little boy the world no matter what it took. Making friends was simple for K.C. as he moved from school to school growing up. Not only was it easy for him to make friends, he was also the type of friend we all need - always only a phone call away and there in a flash whether you needed a shoulder to cry on or a pat on the back.
K.C. was a loving son, fiance' and daddy- he was the strength behind his family. To K.C. family came first no matter what. He leaves behind two beautiful children who were both daddy's kids - jumping for him the minute he walked into the door and never leaving his side once there. He was the strength behind the two women in his life - his mom and his fiance'. Both were held high in K.C.'s heart and there wasn't a time K.C. talked to either where the conversation didn't end with "I love you".
K.C. worked for the past two years for Fresenius, as a dialysis technician in Independence, MO. He was a fast learner and quickly became a favorite among his patients. He was not only good at his job, but he considered his patients to be his family, always taking the time to really talk to those in need and be of assistance in any way possible.
In his free time K.C. loved to be with his friends, enjoying everything from poker nights to watching movies. Any chance he had was spent outside; working on his car, playing softball, going fishing, and riding four wheelers. Life was always exciting for K.C. and he made sure others around him shared in that excitement as well. K.C. had great dreams for his future; wanting to pursue a degree in healthcare, continue his work in remodeling houses, and to settle down in the country - a perfect place to raise his family and enjoy life. Though his light left this earth far too early, it will shine on in each and every person who is lucky enough to have been touched by K.C.'s spirit.
K.C. is survived by his mother Kandi Evans, father Rodney Sawyer, fianc? Lauren Spears, daughter Kaylin Evans, son Jack Evans, brothers Kevin and Chris Mitchell, Sister Danyel Mitchell, grandparents Sharon and Dave Kretzschmar and Jan and Rick Evans, great grandmothers Virginia Evans and Marjorie Greep, aunts Shelley Johnson, Dana Cramer, Tracy Fischer and Amanda Evans, uncles Todd Kretzschmar, Joey and Dustin Evans, cousins Donovan Davisson, Michael and Nicki Ratliff and Katelyn and Kassidy Fisher, and Lauren's family who was waiting with open arms to welcome K.C. into their family.
