Keith Adkins, 57, of Kansas City, passed away on November 21, 2015 from a brave battle with Lymphoma. Keith was born on February 13, 1958 in Kansas City to LeRoy and Jean Adkins.
Keith was injured in an automobile accident at age 9. He was in a coma for three months and eventually was the first child mainstreamed into the public school district in Missouri. He graduated from Hickman Mills High School. He worked as a security guard at Solo Cup. He lived in Lawrence, KS with his best friend for a time, but lived most of his life in his childhood home. Keith loved NASCAR racing, hunting, fishing and camping with his friends. He also played the harmonica.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Dwayne Adkins. He is survived by his sister, Susan Ott, niece, nephew and many friends.
A visitation will be held at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, on Tuesday November 24 from 5:30-8:00PM.
