Gregory Keith Lading, age 54, of Lenexa, KS passed away on November 18, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W. 75th St., Shawnee, KS 66227.
Greg was born in Kansas City, KS on April 27, 1959. He graduated from Turner High School in 1977 and then obtained his Associate's Degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He earned several certification in electrical mechanical operations and was employed at the US Postal Service as a mechanical technician. He obtained additional education and certification in horticulture and utilized this training as an owner/partner in a lawn and landscaping business.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lading.
He leaves behind 4 children; Joshua (Kara), Kyle, Jaden, Brianna and 2 grandchildren; Leah, and Kaylabelle. He is also survived by his wife of 9 years, Phyllis K. Sims Lading, his mother, Stella Lading, sister, Connie Pierce, and brother, Rodney Lading, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends/associates.
