He was well known and respected in automobile plants he serviced across the Midwest. Ken and June enjoyed the beaches and golf clubs of Florida from Sarasota to Clermont beginning in 1986.
Ken taught his grandchildren to laugh, to fish, to golf and to "do whatever their Grandma says." Ken and June returned to be closer to their children and grandchildren in Overland Park in 2003.

Chartrand and husband Art, all of Overland Park, KS.; his daughter-in-law Stacy (Miller) Bowen of Shawnee, Ks.; three grandchildren whom he adored and loved to tease and spoil; Blair Ann Bowen, Emily A.
