Kenneth Hodges

Kenneth Paul Hodges, 67, entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2015. He was the husband to Valerie Hodges, father to Matthew and Joshua Hodges, and son of the late Elwin and Mary Hodges. Kenneth was born on April 5, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan, where he lived until moving to Overland Park, Kansas in 1981.
Ken was a graduate of Midwestern Baptist College. His pastoral ministry and serving others began during college and continued in a lifetime of faithful service and ministry. In addition to his ministry, he was very passionate about learning through books, investing his time in computer technology, and creating memories through photography.
Ken was very dedicated to his wife and his two sons. Ken and Valerie recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. He was selfless, kindhearted, patient, compassionate, clever, and composed. He was known to travel anywhere to support his son’s careers through which he will remembered by many as “Papa Hodges”. We will all miss him very much.
A visitation will be held Sunday December 20 from 4-6pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel,
11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday December 21 at 11am, also at Johnson County Funeral Chapel.
