Kenneth Charles Packard, 77, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 11:48am, from complications of COVID. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania May 31,1943. He attended Shawnee Mission North High School class of 1962 and graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Business in 1968.  In 1969, he earned a master’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas.  In 1980 he earned a diploma from the American Association of Railroad Superintendents.  Kenneth was a proud 3rd generation railroader.  He retired in 2005, in Council Bluffs, Iowa as Director of Terminal Operations for the Union Pacific Railroad.

He was a kind and loving father to his three children.  His rescue dog Husker was a big part of Kenneth’s life during his later years.  Kenneth is survived by his three children, Leisa Semien, Jason Packard, and Devin Packard; his siblings, Gary Packard (Kathy) of Colorado, and Janice Talbot (Ron) of Arizona; three Grandchildren, Regan, Addison, and Rylan.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Claire N. Packard Jr. and Faye G. Packard.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or Great Plains SPCA.
