Kirsten Snyder

September 23, 1993 — March 29, 2019

Kirsten Austin Snyder, age 25, died in her sleep on March 29th at her home in Overland Park, Kansas.  She was born in Wichita, Kansas but lived most of her life in the Leawood and Overland Park area. Kirsten tragically passed leaving behind her beloved, adorable, 6-month-old twins, Josh IV (“Bubba”) and Cordelia (“Deelie”) and her long-time boyfriend and the twins’ Dad, Josh Kearney III and his parents, Josh II and Lisa Kearney.  Bubba and Deelie will miss their Mom making them laugh and smile as they grow up.

Kirsten was a graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and Johnson County Community College.  She really loved watching the Chiefs. She also had numerous hobbies including sewing, crafts, fashion, makeup, modeling and photography. She loved music and comedy and was addicted to Netflix.  She greatly enjoyed working at the Gents Place in Leawood, Kansas. And she was crazy about her cats -- but she was really head over heels about her twins.

Kirsten is survived by her parents, Gordon and Laurie Snyder, of Overland Park, KS; her two children, Bubba and Deelie Kearney; her sister, Jordan Zaidi and her husband, Shan, of Dallas TX; her sister, Madison Snyder of Dallas, TX; her brother, Wil Snyder of Denver, CO; her brother, Parrish Snyder and his wife Karen and their two children, Talia and Yoni, of Chicago; her brother, Sean, and his wife Vanessa Snyder of San Francisco, CA; and her grandfather, Alan Whitehouse of Lawrence, KS.  Her extended family includes numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to be sent to Everyday Matters Foundation, 4950 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS 66211 ( http://www.everydaymatters.com ).

Kirsten desired to be cremated; but a Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019, 2pm-4pm, at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210.
