Our son, Kyle Martin Rouchka lived way to short a life. He was born 05/20/1993 in Kansas to parents Robert & Karen Rouchka. He passed 04/24/2023 due to some long-standing medical complications at the University of Kansas. Kyle came into our lives six weeks early at 4 pounds and 6.5 ounces. He has kept us on our toes from day one. Every three hours his first year he had the smallest baby bottle to feed from that any of us had seen. He had a hole in his heart to start, but we were overjoyed when it closed up on its own. You could have held him easily in the palm of your hand he was so small. He was such a happy energetic child who talked non-stop, and we mean that truly as it drove us a little (maybe a lot) crazy.
He had so many friends over the years and we were the house that they all hung out at. But from an early age, he was a good judge of character. He was always able to weed out the bad kids quickly.
He tried out several sports, but landed on baseball which he did for a few years. Also, TAE KWON DO which he loved. He started it at 5 years old and continued until he graduated high school from Shawnee Mission Northwest in 2011. He ended up earning a 1st and 2nd degree black belt with a lot of hard work and training.
His greatest love has always been reading and of course gaming with his friends. He could read a 500 page book in a day. His latest passions were cars, motorcycles and guns. We could go on and on …
Kyle has always had is family support and love and leaves behind some very close friends. He is survived by Mother and step-dad, Karen and Ron Millett, Father and step-mom Robert and Champika Rouchka, step-sister Chami Mudalige, half-brother David Rouchka, Grandmother Audrey Martin, Step Grandma Louise Millett, Aunts and Uncles, Don & Leny Martin, Mike Martin, Michael & Brenda Millett, Ron & Linda Yarbrough, Raymond & Jennifer Allen and many others.
Kyle was pre-deceased by his Grand-parents Carma and David Rouchka and Tom Martin, Great Aunt Helen Robison.
God chose to take Kyle earlier than we expected. Our hearts are broken, and we will never be the same. However, we take solace knowing we will see him in Heaven when our time is up on this earth. Always and forever our love is with you.
