LARRY GREEN
Larry Green, age 63, of Louisburg, KS, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 03, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Larry was born July 27th, 1948 in Washington, Iowa to Harriet and Chester Green. Larry attended school in Washington, Iowa and graduated from Washington High School in 1966. He attended the University of Northern Iowa on a football scholarship, while there he met his future wife, Janelle Brousard of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The couple was married on November 3, 1968 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Larry graduated from UNI in 1970 with a Bachelor's of Science degree. He began his Pharmaceutical sales career shortly after graduation with Warner-Chilcott. Larry had a long and accomplished career within the industry and was the recipient of many awards for his achievements. In his personal time, Larry enjoyed travel, hunting, golf, spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He also spent countless hours on his tractor and working around the farm. Larry is survived by his wife, Janelle of Louisburg, KS; daughter Stephanie Pella and son in law Travis Dryden of Louisburg, KS; son Scott Green and daughter in law Jennifer, grandchildren Piper and Benjamin of Des Moines, IA; mother, Harriet Nall and husband Arlin of Washington, IA: sisters, Lora Daniel of Fayetville, AR; Loretta Roller and husband Carl of Gallatin, Tennessee; and sister in law Anita Green of Broomfield, CO. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Green; one sister Diana Green and one brother David Green.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 7th at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday at Johnson County Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9th at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am Monday. Interment will be held at the North Hill Cemetery in rural Wayland, Iowa.
