Laura Elaine Lebsack

Laura Elaine (Adrian) Spencer Lebsack, age 93, of Overland Park, KS passed away at Overland Park Regional Hospital on January 7, 2018. She was born September 10, 1924 in Ewing, Nebraska to Sidney E. and Laura E. (Dierks) Adrian.

Elaine graduated High School in Ewing before moving to Wichita KS in 1942 where she married Howard M. Spencer on February 13, 1943. They had 4 children together before his passing in 1976 in Oklahoma City, OK. Elaine married Kenneth B. Lebsack on July 11, 1987 in Overland Park, KS. She worked for Capitol Federal, Oklahoma City Public Schools and Black and Veach before retiring. She was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church, Valley Viewers Sunday School Class, Friendship Circle, Round Robin Society and numerous Bridge groups. She was a resident at The Atriums in Overland Park for the past 3 years where she enjoyed painting and was an avid bridge player.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George M. Adrian, sisters, Myra Lee (Adrian) Cribbs and Martha Jean (Adrian) Cantrell, Howard M. Spencer, her husband of 33 years, Kenneth B. Lebsack, her husband of 11 years and granddaughter Andrea D. McDonald.

Elaine is survived by her sister, Letha Kay (Adrian) Roland of Wichita, KS, children: Donald M. Spencer (Janice) of Kansas City, MO, Kathryn E. (Spencer) McDonald (Randel)) of Overland Park, KS, Gerald L. Spencer (Patricia) of Shawnee, KS and Thomas E. Spencer (Toni) of Overland Park, KS.  She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Valley View United Methodist church in Overland Park, KS with interment and graveside service at 4:00 PM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Wichita, KS.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley View United Methodist Church.
