Mr. Lee Dyer

Thomas Lee Dyer of Shawnee, Kansas passed away April 7, 2010.
Tom was born April 9, 1936 in Norman, Oklahoma to Delbert B. Dyer and Hallie May (Minter) Dyer. In 1961 Tom married Elizabeth A. Cribbs in Moore, Oklahoma. They moved to the Kansas City area in 1962 where they eventually settled in Shawnee, Kansas.
Tom worked for Gil Studios/KC Graphics/Sericol for 32 years, in various capacities.
His wife Elizabeth passed away in 1975. In 1983 Tom married Iris Waterman.
Tom was very strong in his faith and was an active member of Cornerstone Community Church. He had a passion for all things airplane associated. He had an extensive radio controlled model airplane collection.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and wife Elizabeth.
Survivors include his wife, Iris; daughter, Dana Dyer of Shawnee; son, Randy and wife Laura of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, and Molly; sisters, Dorothy Keller and Sally Lane; brothers, Jim and Tim Dyer, all of Oklahoma.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. A visitation will begin in the chapel at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
