Leon Andrews, 88, Kansas City, passed away March 27, 2008.

Leon was a life member of the PGA. He was a well known teaching professional in the Kansas City area since 1958. He was instrumental in the construction of Indian Creek Golf Course, the Osawatomie Back Nine, and Rabbit Creek in Louisburg. He and his wife Bonnie owned and operated Andrews Golf Complex in Martin City. Leon was a World War II Veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Ramona "Bonnie"; sons, Reed (Jean) Bonneville, Randy (Julie) Bonneville, Russell Bonneville; daughters, Kathryn Bonneville and Bobbi (Robert) Warburton; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Junior Golf Foundation of Greater Kansas City, 10540 Barkley, Overland Park, KS 66212.
