Wilbur L. Hanson passed away at his home on August, 24th surrounded by his loving family.
Wilbur was born August 23rd, 1927 in LeLoup, Kansas to Harry & Marie Hanson. Preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Harriot, and brothers Herbert and Howard Hanson.
He will be missed by his wife, Jean of 62 years, daughters Debbie Abreo and Cindy Daily, son in-law Rick Daily. Grandchildren: Chris, Whitney, Brett, Bryant Condie, Lily and Hank Daily, and granddaughter in law to be, Brooke Myers
Wilbur was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School class of 1945. Also, a member of the Marines, Air force Reserves, and Masonic Lodge. He was a lifelong member of St. Marks Methodist church since September 1954.
In 1948 he began his career at the Post Office and retired in 1983.
Wilbur was most happy when he was surrounded by his family telling stories from the past. His since of humor and abundance of love for his family and friends will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Marks Methodist Church, 6422 Sante Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66201 or the American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd St, Overland Park.
