Lillian O'Dell

Lilian Elizabeth O’Dell, 80, Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Saturday December 18, 2021.  Lillian was born in Orrick, MO to Leonard and Mabel Callaway.   Lillie was a self-taught cake decorator for 28 years before she retired from Hy-Vee.   She married Delbert Dean O’Dell on March 29, 1958 and they were blessed with six children.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert.  She is survived by four sisters:  Shirley Shelton, Marie Woods, Ina Berry and Alice Arthur (Joe); brother, Sam Callaway (Janice); and six children: Delbert L. O’Dell (Betty), Elizabeth A. O’Dell, William L. O’Dell (Debbie), Kenneth R. O’Dell, David W. O’Dell (Pamela) and Karen J. O’Dell; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to give a special to Lillie’s two angels, Ina Berry and Karen O’Dell.
