Lillie Mae Graves, 84, Olathe, KS passed away November 5, 2017
Lillie was born to Louis and Alberta Droke in Kingfisher County on October 20, 1933. She was the fourth born of five children. They lived on a farm where she helped out milking cows. She was in 4H and won a ribbon for her calf. Lillie was secretary and treasurer of her class and graduated from Dunbar High School in 1951. She attended and graduated from nursing school in Great Bend, KS. She worked as a Registered Nurse on the OBGYN floor at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, KS. In 1958, she was united in marriage to Noble Graves, to this union was born three children, two daughters and one son. She loved sewing, decorating, writing songs and poems, singing and listening to Christian music. Lillie would help, encourage and pray for anyone and had a very peaceful spirit no matter what she was going through.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband Noble of 54 years, her parents, her sister Odessa Johnson and her brother Muriel Droke. She is survived by two daughters, Aleta Keith of Collinsville, OK; Tawanda Graves of Olathe, KS; one son, Novell Graves of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Pearline Nichols of Arizona; Frances Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; an Aunt, Nelda Knight of Charlotte, NC; an Uncle, Arnold Droke of Edmond, OK; three grandsons, Rasinio S. Graves, Edward Alexander Keith and Gerraye S. Keith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
