Linda Burr

Linda Christine (Miller) Burr of Overland Park KS passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on March 26, 2015 from an unexpected brain hemorrhage. Linda was born in 1965 in Mexico MO. to Clendus and Gertrude Miller. She moved to Kansas City for college and lived there for the rest of her life. She worked in the library at Stanley Elementary School for many years, sharing her love of reading with a generation of children. She had a passion for animal welfare and was an accomplished cook and gardener. She married Jon Burr in 1989 and gave birth to two wonderful sons, Max and Nathan. She was a devoted mother and partner. She is preceded in death by her father. Linda is survived by her husband, sons, mother, siblings Leslie Handlin (Larry), Shawn (Diana), Darrell (Betty Jo), and Greg (Sherry), and many adoring in-laws.
A visitation will be held at Johnson County Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 4th 2015, at 1:00 PM, with a memorial service immediately following.  Arrangements by: Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. 913-451-1860.
