Lindsay Marie Torrey, 28, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 22, 2013.
Lindsay was born July 23, 1984, in Mason City, IA, to Jeff Torrey and Nancy Partnoy. She graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 2003.
Lindsay received her Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She worked for Kids at Heart Day Care and loved working with children. Lindsay was very gifted in the arts, enjoyed reading and being outdoors. She was a sweet, kind-hearted, loving, gentle spirit. She was beautiful and cherished being with her family, friends and cats. Lindsay always put others first and she captured the simple pleasures in life.
She is survived by her fiancé, Brent Weis; parents, Jeff (Jo) Torrey and Nancy (Larry) Partnoy; brother, Josh (Ashley); sisters, Gina, Jenny and Sarah; grandparents, Sam and Louise Torrey and Don and Sue Ott; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. A funeral service for Lindsay will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel.
