Lisa Carole Morehead, 53, of Leawood, KS, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 16, 2014 of health complications.
Lisa was born on March 18, 1960 in Braceville, OH. She grew up in the Warren, OH area and graduated from LaBrae High School in Braceville, OH.
She was a valued project assistant with CRS Shirine on the Peace Hawk Peace Shield project in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1981, and upon being transferred to Columbus, OH with her husband she became the assistant to the CEO of Management Horizons/Price Waterhouse in 1989.
She put her professional life on hold from 1991 to 2006 to raise her 2 children, daughter Melissa and son Alex, whom presently are both in the later stages of the University of Missouri Veterinary in Columbia, MO, and Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, respectively. Lisa was very devoted, and took a great deal of pride in her 2 children.
In 2006 Lisa became an honored agent for New York Life in Overland Park, KS, being awarded national recognition for annuity sales production.
Lisa is best known for the warm and caring atmosphere she brought to her family and the people around her. She was a wife of 31 years. She also had a dedicated passion for Arabian horses and participated with family in Arabian horse shows across the U.S. and Canada. But first and foremost she was a mother and there lies her greatest pride and joy in life.
Words cannot express the loss that Lisa's passing will bring to so many family and friends forever.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS.
