Lois Elaine (Denham) Jacobsen, 80, of Overland Park passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 during a short hospital stay.
Lois was born Aug 4, 1927 in Cedar Creek, NE to Ray & Lena Denham as the second child of four. She worked for the US Gov't as a secretary. After retiring, she volunteered at Blue Valley School District. Lois loved her family and friends and was a beloved sister, aunt, mother, 'grammy', and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Jacobsen, her sister Dolores, brother Dick, and daughter Susan. She is survived by her sister Donna of Mira Loma CA, grandson Jon, his wife Brenda, her great-granddaughters Joanna and Sarah of the Seattle area, and many dear cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24th, at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park. A gathering of friends and family will be 1:00 ? 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the chapel preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to either the Veteran's of Foreign Wars (vfw.org) or the Humane Society. God bless you.
