Loren V. Pinnick was born on April 18, 1922 in Fowler Kansas to Ira V. Pinnick and Katheryn Shellhammer Pinnick. When Loren was three the family moved to Willard, Missouri, near Springfield. Willard always remained Loren's favorite place to live. When he was a sophomore in high school the family bought a farm near Milan Missouri where Loren graduated high school. Soon after graduation he moved to Wichita Kansas where he attended a school to train as an aircraft mechanic and landed a job with Beechcraft Air. This is where he met his future wife, Mary Anna Goodin, whom he called Ann. In 1942 Loren joined the US Marines and fought in WWII, primarily on Guam. Upon his return in 1945 Loren and Ann were married in Wichita Kansas. Soon thereafter, they moved to Manhattan, Kansas where Loren attended Kansas State University, graduating in Industrial Engineering in 1950 and soon after he was hired by the Ford Motor Company. His career at Ford spanned thirty-four years including the year he was called back to service in the Korean War. While at KSU a son was born, Larry V Pinnick. Later after starting work at Ford a daughter was born Treasa L. Pinnick. Loren retired from Ford in 1984. Loren and Ann were able to travel to nearly every state in the USA enjoying family and friends in their retirement years, until Ann's passing October 18, 2014. Loren was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed a life filled with humor and music. He is survived by two sisters, two children, three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
