Loren Frederick Pitts left this world on November 14, 2009. He was reunited in heaven with his “pretty lady” of 62 years Rita Pitts, his father Orville Pitts and mother Bessie Rose. He leaves behind his daughters Cynthia Peters and Rebecca Freeland, his son Loren Craig Pitts, along with 9 beautiful grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Donald Pitts, brothers-in-law James Goodell and Jon Goodell, sons-in-law John Peters and Fred Freeland, daughter in law Susan Pitts, 9 nephews, 4 nieces and many loving family and friends.
Loren came into this world on August 3, 1927 and was a lifetime resident of the Kansas City area. He was a graduate of Westport High School in 1945 and worked for the National Weather Service. He served in the US Marine Corp, was a long time member of The Brookridge Country Club where he marshaled for many years. In his families eyes he was “seven feet tall”.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf.
