Lori (Billings) McCulley

Lori B (Billings) McCulley, 61, of Olathe, KS, passed away on July 18, 2015 at home.
Lori was born on August 4, 1953, in Kansas City, MO to Del and Wanda Billings. She loved her family and friends, love to cook and to do needlework. She especially liked to spend time at family gatherings. She loved to research her ancestry and became the family’s historian.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Del and Wanda (Putnam) Billings, a brother, Dan Billings, infant son, Phillip, infant daughter, Megan and infant son, Michael.
Lori is survived by her husband, Richard McCulley, her son, Jeff Lee, sister, Janice Cissell, brother, Dave Billings, many nieces, nephews and cousins, including Terri Lukin with whom she had a special close relationship. Lori is also survived by her best friend, Beve Freeman.
Our Lori, my little petite flower, a headstrong feisty girl with a heart of gold. Her compassion and tenderness for so many people will always inspire and motivate. Lori brought smiles and laughter to all she encountered. Her love was genuine and out-flowing to all that would accept it. Her tenacity was her strength and her nemesis, but it is part of what made Lori that unique soul we all loved.
A visitation will be held Wednesday July 22 from 6PM-8PM at Johnson County Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on July 23 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Interment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
