Lorraine M. Hansen, 80, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at St. Luke's Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Visitation will be 1-3 P.M. Friday January 23rd at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf.
Lorraine was born in Neenah, Wisconsin, on November 9, 1928 and lived in San Antonio, Texas, Wayne, Pennsylvania, and for the last 30 years, Overland Park. Lorraine and her husband Richard shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. She was an avid bridge player who enjoyed games of all kinds. Lorraine loved to travel and take cruises with Richard. She enjoyed her home and loved life and her family. She was a special friend to many, and always took time to make others feel valued and special.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Richard J. Hansen, mother Edna R. Westfahl, sister Beverly Rosenow, son Daniel, and granddaughter Kristin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to the American Heart Association National Center 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75231.
