Louis Alberto Valiente-Rittmaster, 1 year, 27 days, passed away Feb. 20, 2007 at Children's Mercy Hospital surrounded by friends and family.
Louis demonstrated what "Valiente" signifies - Courage. Louis was born January 24, 2006. Humor, affection, strength of will, and intelligence defined Louis. His smile lit up our lives. In his short life Louis not only defied the odds but he taught us what life is all about.
Thanks to the excellent care Louis received from his doctors and nurses, we had the gift of time with our precious son.
Survivors include his father, Hugo; mother, Libby; brothers; Cesar David, Alexander, and Carlos.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas 66210. Visitation will be Friday, February 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital or Kansas City Hospice.
