Louise Virginia Kizer was born to Mary and Edward Kizer Sr. on November 25, 1949 in Montgomery County, TN. She was the sixth of nine children. Her siblings were Willie Mary Kizer, Johnny Kizer (Daisy) of Jacksonville, FL; Edward Kizer Jr., Frances Thomas of Erin, TN; Sarah Allen of Overland Park, KS; Gilbert Kizer, Rodney Kizer and Ramona Wyatt of Erin, TN. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Kizer Sr., mother, Mary Kizer and brother, Edward Kizer Jr.
Louise passed quietly on May 2, 2008. She leaves behind her only child, Torrey Jones who was born in San Francisco, CA and now lives in Gardner, KS. She was once married to Sidney Lane of Oakland, CA, and had many loving friends and family including the father of her only child, Vernoy E. Jones of Vallejo, CA; 2 aunts, Willine Austin of Dover, TN; Pauline Parchman of Stockton, CA; 1 uncle, Bennie Easley of Clarksville, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, & friends. She was employed at UC Berkeley for over 30 years where she was in housing, packing, payroll, & optometry to name a few. Shortly after retiring Louise moved to Overland Park, KS to be closer to her son and sister, Sarah. She started working at Tuesday Morning on 151st St. in January of 2006 and worked there until the time of her passing.
Louise was a leader and a light to many people and will be remembered as a giving, generous, loving person that had a great affect on every life she came in contact with and touched. She will be missed but never forgotten. God Bless her soul.
