Lyman F. Krieg (Bud), age 86, of Overland, KS died March 1, 2008 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March at 11:00am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar, Overland Park, KS with Rev. Edward Trost officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.
Bud was born April 27, 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Lyman and Dora Krieg. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Geneva Gladhart on April 20, 1947. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Overland Park. Bud was a carpenter all hi life. He served as a volunteer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center for 20 years. He had a love for woodworking, making clocks and crosses which may be found all over the world. His unselfish and humble sprite touched countless lives.
Survivors include his wife Geneva of 60 years; his three daughters, Carolyn Enyeart of Parkville, MO; Bonnie Brownsberger (Douglas) of Conyers, GA, Connie Grotefendt (Wesley) of Marine, IL and one son, Neal Krieg (Barbara) of Shawnee, KS; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wallace Krieg.
