Lyn David, 48, Overland Park, passed away at home after an extended battle with breast cancer on April 26, 2010. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, April 29th, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 30, 2010 at Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 W. 95th St., Overland Park. Interment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Lyn was born September 17, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Louise Evans. She graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1979. Lyn was married to K.R. David in 1993. For the past 9 years, she enjoyed working at a dentist office for Dr. Scott and Dr. Williams in Overland Park.
Lyn was a very active “sports mom”, enjoying all of her children’s many activities. She also enjoyed the lake and her many vacations to the beach.
She was preceded in death by her father, John K. Evans.
Survivors include her husband, K.R.; three children, son, John Knight, son, Jordan David, and daughter, Jessie David; mother, Louise Evans; sister, Jan Evans; and her beloved dog, Hershey.
