Mabelle Loercher passed away on June 17th, 2023, at the age 101. She lived a life filled with love, joy, and creativity. Born on January 3rd, 1922 to Mable Clair Owens and Thomas Trigg Weathers in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mabelle married the love of her life Frank Wallace Loercher and was blessed with sixty-nine memorable years together until his passing. She was an invaluable asset to their family business at O.K. Garage where she worked as a bookkeeper.
She also cherished time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Betty Jo Hamilton, son Frank Michael Loercher, five grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In her free time, Mabelle dedicated herself to exploring a rich tapestry of interests and hobbies that brought immense joy into her life. She loved visiting Tanglewood lake and birdwatching which allowed her to appreciate the beauty of nature in a calming way. Her passion for craftsmanship manifested through porcelain doll-making and sewing while painting allowed her creative juices to flow freely. Playing bridge was another one of her favorite pastimes which let her exercise critical thinking skills while meeting with friends. Mabelle also loved ballroom dancing, word searches, crocheting and visits to the beauty salon. She loved to travel and took many cruises to foreign countries in her lifetime.
She will be laid to rest at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel-Mausoleum, in Overland Park, Kansas. The family will hold a private celebration of life for Mabelle.
