USAF (ret.)
Walter Karpowich Jr., 65, of Olathe passed away on November 17. A native of New Jersey, he served as a pilot in the Air Force for 21 years, including a tour of Southeast Asia and two in Germany.
Maj. Karpowich is survived by three children and their families: son, Steve (Chris), Clay & Emma; daughter, Beth; son David (Holly), Kelsey & Keaton. His brother Richard of New Jersey also survives him.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 22, with service at 11 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Burial with military honors will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa immediately following.
Donations to the ASPCA are requested in lieu of flowers.
