Marcelyn M. Goode, 57, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on March 14, 2009.
Born July 11, 1951 in Denver, CO Marcelyn is survived by her husband, Curtis W. Goode of Overland Park, KS; son Christopher Goode of Independence, MO; brother Mark Muchow of Littleton, CO; brother Brian Muchow of Bradford, NH; sister Daryl Benson of Lakewood, CO and sister Kim Muchow of Fort Atkinson, WI along with niece and nephews.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Marcelyn was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, reading and travel. She actively participated in several women’s golf and bowling leagues and developed lasting friendships with many in those activities.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel located at 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 19, 2009 with burial after the service at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens adjacent to the chapel.
In memory of Marcelyn, donations may be made to any animal shelter of the donor’s choosing.
