Mrs. Marcia Ann Huslig
July 3, 1951 — March 5, 2014
Marcia Ann Huslig, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 after a lengthy battle with colon cancer. Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 12 pm also at the Johnson County Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Marcia worked 36 years for USDA and retired as a Traffic Management Specialist.
She is preceded in death by her mom and dad and two sisters. Survivors include her husband Robert and son Justin (Shelley), one grandchild, two great grandchildren, one sister, one brother-in-law and nieces and nephew.
The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at KU Hospital Unit 63 ICU and Kansas City Hospice House. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the KU Cancer Center formerly Kansas City Cancer Center in Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the KU Cancer Center.
