Margaret L. Augustine, age 86, went home to the lord on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at her home in Olathe, Kansas surrounded by family. She was born on November 15, 1933 to her parents John and Rowean Schuck. She married the love of her life, James W Augustine on November 29th 1952. Margaret is survived by daughters Kathy Wilkins (John), Becky Hehn (Jeff), Phyllis Mize (Scott), Mary Augustine (Robert Croom), son Chris Augustine (Jenifer), 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Margaret was the co-founder and owner of Augustine Exterminators Inc. She was instrumental in developing and growing the business while raising 6 children, no small feat! She served in many capacities at the company through 50 plus years from bookkeeper to Chairman of the Board.
Margaret was a loving mother and a doting grandmother to her 14 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would never miss a little league game or school program if she could help it. You always knew where she was sitting because she was always loudly cheering you on! She enjoyed traveling and made a special point to take the grandchildren on special trips.
Margaret was very social and loved being active in her neighborhood woman’s group and as part of CHRP at Ascension Catholic Church. She loved to play games from cards to dice games. She was a die-hard Chiefs and Jayhawk fan! Rock Chalk! Margaret had an adventurous spirit and was a bit of a dare-devil. She made a point to cross as much off her bucket list in the last year as she possibly could. This included tubing, skydiving, zip-lining, riding in a Nascar Car at the Kansas Speedway and fulfilling her dream trip to London, England.
