Margaret Rosalie Carlson Allen passed away peacefully at her home in Prairie Village, KS on Monday, June 4.
Born in Clyde, KS April 25, 1921 to August and Segred Carlson, she was a retired employee from the City of Overland Park and the City of Concordia.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughters Janice (Phil) Wright of Leawood, KS and Martha (Art) Schnatterly of St. Louis, MO. Also mourning her loss are 4 grandchildren: Kimberly (Sean) Goodale, Stephanie (Michael) Bidnick, Aaron (Shan-Aan) Schnatterly, Mark (Kristen) Schnatterly. She leaves 9 great-grandchildren: Blake, Keaton, Cole and Luke Goodale; Emmy, Brady and Macie Bidnick; Rachel and Lauren Schnatterly, along with cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Respects may be paid at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf College and Metcalf, in Overland Park after 3 p.m. on Thursday. The family is receiving friends at Rosalie?s home Thursday evening, 6-8 p.m. Services in celebration of Rosalie?s life will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (Brantford Township) near Clyde, KS, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. She will be buried near her parents in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Rosalie?s name to Zion Lutheran Church (c/o Sharon Potuzak, 2579 Willow Rd. in Agenda, KS 66930).
